About The Position

The Finn Lab at OMRF is looking for creative, motivated applicants for a part-time Research Technician position. We study how the genome is organized in human cells in order to understand how those cells make decisions. The technician would work closely with a graduate student mentor on a project focusing on how genome organization and histone modification collaborate to regulate genes in cancer cells. As necessary, we will train you on relevant techniques (likely including but not limited to DNA/RNA Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization, immunofluorescence, confocal imaging, and image processing). You will carry out experiments independently after training and share in regular lab maintenance tasks. You will present your work one-on-one and in small group sessions to the lab, and we will identify and plan future experiments together.
