About The Position

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center uses genomics to develop innovative approaches for cancer diagnosis, early detection, monitoring, and treatment, with a particular emphasis on precision oncology and immunotherapy. You would play a critical role in enabling this highly translational research by ensuring the lab’s scientific operations, resources, and workflows run effectively. Your contribution would help accelerate discoveries that can identify cancer earlier, guide more personalized treatments, and ultimately improve outcomes for patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Proven basic laboratory skills and the ability to handle diverse tasks in a research setting.
  • Attention to detail and strong record-keeping habits.
  • Ability to follow protocols while troubleshooting when needed.
  • Team-oriented approach to supporting postdocs and fellow researchers.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic lab environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain lab equipment, instruments, solutions, stains, assays, and other essential supplies.
  • Perform specialized techniques, such as cell culture, PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, ELISA etc.
  • Conduct animal studies, including injections, tissue/fluids collection, and animal autopsies to facilitate chemical identification and analyses.
  • Record and analyze research data, prepare reports, and provide insights to the research team.
  • Assist peers and researchers with ongoing projects, fostering a team-oriented, supportive environment.
