About The Position
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center uses genomics to develop innovative approaches for cancer diagnosis, early detection, monitoring, and treatment, with a particular emphasis on precision oncology and immunotherapy. You would play a critical role in enabling this highly translational research by ensuring the lab’s scientific operations, resources, and workflows run effectively. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Proven basic laboratory skills and the ability to handle diverse tasks in a research setting.
- Attention to detail and strong record-keeping habits.
- Ability to follow protocols while troubleshooting when needed.
- Team-oriented approach to supporting postdocs and fellow researchers.
- Adaptability in a dynamic lab environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain lab equipment, instruments, solutions, stains, assays, and other essential supplies.
- Perform specialized techniques, such as cell culture, PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, ELISA etc.
- Conduct animal studies, including injections, tissue/fluids collection, and animal autopsies to facilitate chemical identification and analyses.
- Record and analyze research data, prepare reports, and provide insights to the research team.
- Assist peers and researchers with ongoing projects, fostering a team-oriented, supportive environment.
