The Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) is seeking a Research Technician to join the lab of Dr. Jennifer Zallen at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, NY. This individual will work as part of an interactive, multidisciplinary team of scientists investigating how cells navigate through the body during development and how defects in these processes can lead to birth defects and cancer. The lab utilizes cell biological, genetic, biophysical, computational, and live-imaging approaches to visualize cell and protein dynamics in living embryos. The long-term goal of this research is to leverage this information to build, repair, and regenerate tissues to treat human disease. The role involves assisting in biomedical research focused on how cells move, change shape, and communicate to generate functional tissues and organs, offering opportunities for cutting-edge research, collaboration, and mentorship. A commitment of at least two years is expected.
