Research Technician
About The Position
The Stern Laboratory at the Boyce Thompson Institute is seeking a Research Technician to contribute to two projects: one investigating RNA quality control in chloroplasts, and the other focused on modifying C4 photosynthetic pathways. This role offers the opportunity to learn a variety of experimental skills, including photosynthetic measurements, genetic crosses, molecular biology techniques, and protein biochemistry. The research may have implications for engineering photosynthesis for agricultural productivity, driven by a fundamental curiosity about life processes. Collaboration with other expert groups will be a key aspect of the experience. The position is situated within a research-focused environment at the Boyce Thompson Institute on the Cornell University campus, with access to professional development activities through the BTI Postgraduate Society.
Requirements

- BS degree or completion in the near future.
Responsibilities
