About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of the Principal Investigator, the research technician will be responsible for supporting on-going research projects by the Fisher lab, including maturing satellite data analyses for public communication and dissemination, as well as publications. The person will help coordinate the lab resources and support administrative logistics and will provide support for purchasing and expense reporting.

Requirements

  • Previous experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Writing skills to summarize research findings and integrate into scientific manuscripts
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to interact and work collaboratively with other researchers

Responsibilities

  • Mature satellite data analyses for public communication and dissemination, as well as publications.
  • Assist with data collection, cleaning, verification, and management.
  • Document methods, results, and interpretations to support research objectives and reporting.
  • Help coordinate the lab resources and coordinate logistics with personnel.
  • Purchase supplies
  • Follow lab safety guidelines
  • Provide support for purchasing and expense reporting
  • Prepare expense reports and reconciliations
  • Other related duties as assigned
