About The Position

The employee will work as a Research Technician III in the Section of Surgical Oncology in the Department of Surgery at the SOM. The employee will be responsible for performing experiments investigating cell signaling in cancer biology research. The primary site where work will be performed will be in the Tulane SOM. The employee will work with the research team to perform cellular biology assays and animal models of cancer. Necessary experiments include those involving molecular biology and Cell Biology, in adherence with the Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) in place. The candidate should be able to work independently under minimal supervision. The candidate will also be in charge of supporting the laboratory including assisting with supplies, maintaining equipment, and general laboratory maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Performing experiments investigating cell signaling in cancer biology research.
  • Performing cellular biology assays and animal models of cancer.
  • Conducting experiments involving molecular biology and Cell Biology, in adherence with Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs).
  • Supporting the laboratory including assisting with supplies, maintaining equipment, and general laboratory maintenance.
