This role participates in planned research projects by performing research protocols with minimal direction and guidance from the principal investigator, program director or senior scientists. May exercise moderate discretion and judgment in the execution and interpretation of experiments, and of data derived. The laboratories of Amanda Muir, M.D., and Kate Hamilton, Ph.D., at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) are jointly recruiting a Research Technician. Both laboratories employ an integrated set of tools to investigate gastrointestinal epithelial disease, including mouse models and 3D organoid culture systems — established from both patient-derived and murine tissue — to study disease mechanisms and advance translational research. The Muir Lab focuses on gastrointestinal epithelial diseases including eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) and Barrett's esophagus. The Hamilton Lab investigates intestinal stem cell biology, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and celiac disease.
