Research Technician II

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia•Philadelphia, PA
•$43,900 - $54,800

About The Position

This entry-level research technical role participates in planned research projects by performing research protocols, experimental procedures, and other laboratory tasks under direct supervision. The technician may occasionally exercise minimal discretion and judgment in executing and interpreting experiments and resulting data. The Landstrom Lab studies the genetic, molecular, and electrophysiologic mechanisms underlying sudden cardiac death in children and young adults. Its work focuses on heritable arrhythmia syndromes and cardiomyopathies, including how pathogenic genetic variation affects myocardial excitability, calcium handling, and contractile function. The laboratory combines human genomics and mechanistic biology: families with inherited cardiovascular disease are recruited and deeply phenotyped, followed by advanced genomic sequencing to identify candidate variants.
