Research Technician II - Panicker Lab

Cleveland Clinic
Onsite

About The Position

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus where research and surgery are advanced, technology is leading-edge, patient care is world class and caregivers are family. Here, you will work alongside a passionate and dedicated team, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world. The Panicker Lab investigates the molecular mechanisms that drive pathology in Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), Parkinson’s Disease (PD), and Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), with the eventual goal of developing therapeutics that block or slow disease progression. We study cell-death pathways in neurodegenerative diseases, and how neuroinflammation (primarily mediated by microglial cells in the brain) contributes to the pathogenesis of neurologic disorders. Our current projects explore the mechanisms and consequences of Nod-Like Receptor Protein-3 (NLRP3) inflammasome assembly by using cellular and molecular approaches in transgenic-mouse and iPSC disease models of DLB, PD and AD. As a Research Technician on our team, you will perform laboratory techniques and procedures required for assigned experimental studies, assist with establishing and scheduling analyses, conduct tests using a range of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, and assemble experimental results for review by research staff.
