The Landau Lab at the New York Genome Center/Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented experimental scientist to join our interdisciplinary team studying somatic evolution, cancer genomics, and epigenomics. The laboratory develops and applies cutting-edge single-cell, multi-omics, and cell-free DNA technologies to investigate how somatic mutations shape cellular behavior, clonal evolution, and human disease. The successful candidate will contribute to both technology development and biological research projects. The role will involve performing, optimizing, and scaling experimental workflows for next-generation sequencing, single-cell genomics, and functional genomics. The candidate will work closely with experimental scientists, computational biologists, clinicians, and external collaborators to generate high-quality genomic datasets from cultured cells, model systems, and patient-derived samples. This is a primarily wet-laboratory position, although opportunities will be available to participate in sequencing quality control, data interpretation, and the integration of experimental and computational results. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in molecular biology, excellent laboratory and organizational skills, and an interest in developing and implementing new genomic technologies. The Landau Lab provides substantial scientific and technical training. This position is particularly well suited for an early-career scientist seeking to develop expertise in experimental genomics and single-cell technologies before pursuing graduate or professional training, although this is not a requirement. The position will primarily be based at Weill Cornell Medicine, with regular interaction and collaboration with teams at the New York Genome Center.
