About The Position

This position will assist in research on the genetic and molecular basis of neurodevelopmental disorders. The technician is responsible for assisting with laboratory duties in a research setting including performing molecular biology experiments, including genotyping and quantitative PCR. Position holder will also assist with processing of specimens for microscopy analysis. Work will be completed at the direction from the lab supervisor and in collaboration with other lab members.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the investigator or higher-level technician with research studies, experiments and assays, including collection of data, preparation of solutions and setup and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintains files on research and assists with data entry.
  • Assists with general lab maintenance and cleaning.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
