About The Position

A Research Assistant I position is currently available in Dr. Andrew Mayer’s laboratory at The Mind Research Network. Those with experience in clinical assessments and/or neuroimaging are strongly encouraged to apply. Primary duties include working with a research team on multiple federally-funded studies examining the biological basis of traumatic brain injury in both children and adults, as well as on emotional dysregulation. Primary responsibilities include participant recruiting, clinical interviews, symptom-based assessments, neuropsychological data collection, collecting MRI data, data entry and quality assurance. The job will also require flexible hours including some evenings and nights to accommodate data acquisition and other related duties as needed for scanning. This position involves working as part of a research team, as well as working with sensitive populations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience and interest in neuroscience, EEG, clinical psychology, and/or neuroimaging
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible hours including some evenings and nights to accommodate data acquisition and other related duties as needed for scanning and participant appointments

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, or pursuing a degree in a related field
  • Experience in EEG data collection and analyses
  • Background and experience in working directly with adolescents
  • Current experience in neuroimaging
