The Srivatsan Lab (Basic Sciences Division) is a computational biology lab focused on developing computational tools and methods for analysis of high throughput single-cell genomics data. We work in extensive collaborative partnerships with bench scientists to tackle questions related to cellular differentiation, lineage decisions, regulatory mechanisms, somatic variation, and the organization of tissues. We are seeking a Research Technician I to support large-scale single-cell genomics research. This position will work under direct supervision of Dr. Sanjay Srivatsan, who has extensive experience in the single-cell and spatial genomics fields. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated scientific knowledge in the area of study.
  • Demonstrated basic laboratory skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in analysis of single-cell genomics data.
  • Experience in working in a high-performance computing environment.
  • Experience in using source code management (e.g.: Git, GitHub).
  • Candidates considering medical/graduate school are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to learn new tools and content quickly and independently.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, apply, and evaluate tools to process, integrate, batch-correct and visualize single-cell genomics data.
  • Interpret the data and explain the results in research discussions with experimental collaborators.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory and supplies.
