The Yang Laboratory at Stony Brook University is seeking a motivated Research Technician to join their new and growing group. Research in the Yang Lab explores how mRNA translation drives dynamic cellular responses to nutritional and dietary inputs to reshape the proteome and metabolome in ways that influence health and disease. They use a multidisciplinary approach that integrates cellular and molecular biology, protein–metabolite interaction assays, and translational research to uncover how mRNA regulation contributes to metabolic disorders, cancer, and aging. The technician will receive comprehensive training in a broad range of experimental techniques, including cell culture, molecular and biochemical assays, metabolic analysis, imaging, and mouse handling and experimental work. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop strong research skills, contribute to high-impact projects, and work closely with the PI in a collaborative and supportive environment. Recent graduates with a background in the biological sciences, a history of academic productivity, and excellent references are encouraged to apply.
