The successful candidate will be responsible for independently executing defined research work scopes, including planning and conducting experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, documenting results, preparing technical reports, and interacting with industrial collaborators. The candidate will communicate research progress and findings with the project team and participate in project meetings. Periodic travel to the industry collaborator’s facility is expected. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field and have demonstrated experience in solvent extraction studies of lanthanide elements. Experience with operando spectroscopy of lanthanide solvent extraction systems is strongly preferred. Candidates should be motivated to work in an interdisciplinary framework, interact closely with team members, work independently, demonstrate initiative, strong organizational and communication skills, and respect project deadlines. This is a 16-month full-time position with the possibility of renewal, offering opportunities to interact with researchers and advance career opportunities.
