This role participates in planned research projects by performing research protocols with minimal direction and guidance from the principal investigator, program director or senior scientists. May exercise moderate discretion and judgment in the execution and interpretation of experiments, and of data derived. Our lab is seeking a candidate with basic laboratory techniques to assist in the processing and biobanking of biological specimens from patients undergoing stem cell transplant for the CHOP Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Research Study with Data Registry/Repository. This position is being supported by a recently funded NIH/NHLBI supported grant that is utilizing these biobank specimens to study biomarkers that may predict the development of lung complications following blood and marrow stem cell transplant. The Specimen Processor and Coordinator will be responsible for efficient and accurate management of biological specimens from patients receiving Bone Marrow Transplants (BMT). Candidates with sample processing and industry experience are encouraged to apply.
