About The Position
We are an early-stage, deep tech startup based in San Francisco, developing innovative hardware that rethinks human-computer interaction. We are backed by General Catalyst, Khosla Ventures, and Greylock Partners, with a founding team from Stanford, BrainGate, Oculus, and Tesla. While we can’t reveal too much just yet, our team is tackling cutting-edge engineering challenges to bring revolutionary products to life. Seeking volunteers for a human-person interaction research study in San Francisco and San Jose! We're seeking volunteers for an in-person study on how people engage with text while using a new wearable interface. We're looking for readers of all kinds, avid or occasional. No technical or research background is needed.
Requirements
- Adults 18 and over
- Able to attend sessions in person in San Francisco or San Jose
- Fluent English speaker, comfortable reading English-language materials
- Able to follow instructions and completing simple tasks on your own

Responsibilities
- Wear a non-invasive, wearable prototype during the session
- Read English-language materials provided
- Follow instructions from the study team
- Share brief feedback at the end
Benefits
- Participants receive $20 for every hour of the study they complete, sent via PayPal after the session.
