The research intern will be trained to master basic molecular biology techniques to assist building a new TF library. The first two weeks will be the training period (basic molecular biology techniques including DNA extraction and subcloning) and the intern is expected to achieve subcloning the current expression library into a new vector system for the remaining weeks (3rd to 6th weeks). The goal of this internship is to assist building a transcription factor (TF) expression library tagged with fluorescent protein. These TF expression library contains transcription factors expressed in the embryonic brains during development. The intern will be trained on basic molecular biology techniques such as DNA extraction, subcloning, gel electrophoresis, and PCR.
