This position will work on Dr. Al-Subu's research projects, engaging in basic and translational studies developing and studying small and large animal models of acute lung injury and cardiac arrest. The Al-Subu lab collaborates closely with other basic and translational science laboratories in cardiovascular pathophysiology, bioengineering, and neuroimaging. The work being done in the lab will provide opportunities for projects led by the research specialist, as well as collaborative team science work in which the research specialist will contribute to collaborations with other research groups. Specific duties of this position will include, but are not limited to, helping performing pulmonary function testing, managing noninvasive monitoring, performing lab test (i.e. blood gas analysis), and complex data collection in a large animal models. This position will be responsible for designing experiments, interpreting findings in light of contemporary literature, and documenting results for presentations, publications, and grant proposals. It will also be expected to supervise student research associated with parent grant projects.
