About The Position

This position supports the development, design, and implementation of a treatment outcome study funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Under the supervision of the PI, a key focus of this position is to manage the data collection for a large multisite trial evaluating the efficacy of a video and text message intervention for recent sexual assault survivors.

Requirements

Minimum two years of research experience which may include work on a senior honors thesis or substantive work in a research lab
Strong interest and familiarity with quantitative research methods
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to simultaneously manage a variety of tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and engage in creative problem solving
Familiarity with data analytic softwares such as R, SPSS, Mplus etc.
Experience managing, organizing, and/or cleaning data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field, required

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with research on sexual violence, posttraumatic stress, and/or substance use

Responsibilities

Conducts research experiments according to established research protocols with moderate impact to the project(s).
Collects data and monitors test results
Performs literature reviews and writes reports
Provides operational guidance on day-to-day activities of unit or program staff and/or student workers
Participates in the development, interpretation, and implementation of research methodology and materials
Reviews, analyzes, and interprets data and/or documents results for presentations and/or reporting to internal and external audiences
Operates, cleans, and maintains organization of research equipment and research area.
Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders
