About The Position

Under supervision, the individual will be part of the project: “Characterizing the molecular basis for PCDH19-induced early onset epilepsy and developing an RNA-based therapy”. They will perform experiments including tissue culture, qPCR, biochemical analyses and staining and will keep a record of all data and analysis. They will participate in all routine work in the lab, including lab meetings, seminars and briefing with mentors. This individual will work very closely with senior members of the group to accomplish these tasks. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Tissue culture work
  • Molecular/biochemical work (DNA, RNA and proteins extraction, Western blots, cellular staining, Q-PCR and RT-PCR analysis)
  • Data analysis and documentation
  • Writing and reporting
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
