About The Position

The holder of this position will be a part of a team of researchers in an immunology group within the Department of Pathobiology as a Research Specialist A. The primary duties involve assisting immunological scientists in performing bench work, including setting up, operating, and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment, monitoring experiments, collecting data and samples, making observations, and calculating and recording results. The role may involve analyzing organic substances derived from fish specimens (rainbow trout). No supervisory duties are included.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Biology or related field
  • 0 to 1 year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in fish immunology techniques

Responsibilities

  • Assist immunological scientists at the lab by executing bench experiments, more specifically, by performing immunoassays
  • Collect biological samples
