The Beirne Carter Center for Immunology Research (CIC) at the University of Virginia’s School of Medicine seeks a Research Scientist to join the Ewald Lab at the CIC. The successful applicant must have demonstrated experience in innate immunology, microbiology and/or biochemistry. The work will require the incumbent to display significant knowledge concerning mechanisms of host-parasite/pathogen interactions and innate immunity. Additionally, the position requires experience in molecular and cellular biology, genetic manipulation of host cells and/or pathogens (ideally Toxoplasma or related protozoa), protein biochemistry, animal models of infection, and working with omics datasets.
