About The Position

You will be the Research Scientist Sr for the Signature Integration Team for Supportable Low Observables (SLO) which is responsible for advancing low‑observable capabilities across the F‑22 program. As the Research Scientist Sr you will be responsible for leading the integration of signature‑management solutions that keep our aircraft stealth‑ready and mission‑effective.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or another technical degree program
  • Experienced with Radar Measurement Technology
  • F-22 or other aircraft LO maintenance/troubleshooting experience
  • Proven experience interfacing with diverse teams of contractors, military customers, and depot management
  • Experience with Repair Verification Radar (RVR) or other zonal RCS equipment
  • Familiarity with F-22 airframe design and coating materials and methods, aircraft systems and subsystems.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral), with a willingness to engage with subject matter experts in a variety of different functional organizations.
  • Previous experience in low observables (LO), survivability, or susceptibility
  • Experience in radar cross section (RCS) design, Low Observable (LO) materials and processes
  • Experienced in the application of aircraft spray material to include paint and/or LO material
  • Project or program management, and execution of signature technology
  • Ability to operate autonomously with minimal direction from management
  • Proven experience interfacing with diverse teams of contractors, military customers, and depot management
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior military service at multiple levels of fighter aircraft maintenance, logistics, and support preferred.
  • Project management experience with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical reviews of modification documentation, including Change Requests, Initial Retrofit Plans, and Time Compliance Technical Directives.
  • Provide low‑observable (LO) removal and restoration guidance and technical support to maintainers.
  • Plan, execute, post‑process, and communicate results of laboratory, field, depot, flight, and vehicle signature measurements.
  • Deliver LO technical support for validation and verification of modifications.
  • Coordinate LO technical support for site surveys and stand‑up events.
