About The Position

Spectral Labs is hiring a Research Scientist to lead research on reinforcement learning for engineering design. The role involves building environments over CAD geometry, designing rewards grounded in geometric validity, simulation, and manufacturability, and post-training foundation models at scale. The candidate will contribute strong research fundamentals and implement training code directly. The position is fully in-person at the company's office in San Francisco.

Requirements

7–10 years of research experience in reinforcement learning, machine learning, or robotics.
Strong fundamentals.
