About The Position

The Emotional Brain Institute (EBI), is a multidisciplinary institute addressing the neurobiology of emotion. We seek to hire a part timeResearch Scientist to participate in NIH-funded research investigating the neural circuits underlying survival behaviors. The Research Scientist will utilize neuroscience techniques including stereotaxic injection of viral vectors, implantation of chronic indwelling cannulae, optrodes and electrodes and optogenetic stimulation while running behavior.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of professional research experience in an appropriate field or master's degree in an appropriate field may substitute for one year of the experience.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field.
  • Prior experience with rodent behavior and/or neuroscience techniques is essential.
  • The fellow must be a hard worker, must be able to work independently and work closely with others in a team approach.
