Research Scientist Intern, AI Maps (PhD)

Meta•Seattle, WA
•$7,650 - $12,667

About The Position

Meta Reality Labs brings together researchers and engineers to invent the future of visual computing. Its teams develop technologies that enable people to capture, create, understand, and interact with immersive visual experiences across Meta products and AR/VR platforms, working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, computer vision, computer graphics, and computational photography. The AI Maps team develops technologies for current and future Meta products. Its research and engineering work includes on-device and cloud-based mapping, localization, scene understanding, and spatial reasoning, with a focus on incubating technologies from research to production through iteration, prototyping, and realizing developer and user value. As a Research Scientist Intern, you will advance the state of the art through a research project and collaborate with researchers and engineers to develop models, representations, datasets, and evaluation methods. The work may be published and may influence future products used by people around the world.
