About The Position

The Piliponsky Lab at the Center for Immunity and Immunotherapies, Seattle Children's Research Institute and the University of Washington invites applications for a Research Scientist position. Research in Dr. Piliponsky’s lab is focused on the regulation of inflammatory processes involving mast cells and myeloid cells, including allergy inflammation and inflammation during bacterial infections. The successful candidate will work with other lab members on new and ongoing research projects and help to maintain smooth operation of the lab. Responsibilities include animal handling, basic molecular biology and immunology techniques for data collection and analysis. The ability to keep accurate, complete records as well as a strong desire to work as part of a team are required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
  • Prior experience in a laboratory setting; may include relevant educational programs
  • Ability to keep accurate, complete records
  • Strong desire to work as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Research experience in biochemistry
  • Research experience in molecular biology
  • Research experience in tissue culture techniques
