About The Position
Conducts innovative scientific investigation by developing theories and devising scientific methods and procedures to apply scientific principles, theories and research in projects related to the mission of UTMB. Committed to the discovery of new innovative biomedical and health services knowledge leading to increasingly effective and accessible health care. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard scientific techniques and procedures while using judgment when necessary to adapt standard methods and techniques.
Requirements
- Ph. D, M.D, D.O., or D.V.M in related field
- No experience required
Responsibilities
- Establish research objectives and methodology.
- Design procedures.
- Conduct research projects.
- Analyze and interpret results.
- Publish and present research as author and co-author.
- Lead or train Classified Research staff and Post Doctoral Fellows.
- Supervise work of lab staff.
- Oversee execution of assigned tasks.
- Perform experiments independently.
- Organize data.
- Draft manuscripts.
- Present research findings in meetings and/or conferences.
