Research Scientist 2
About The Position
The Research Scientist 2 works in the Clinical Trials Office at the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center (UNMCCC), working directly with physicians to run oncology clinical trials. The role assists physicians with screening, consenting, and managing patients participating in clinical trials, while following regulatory guidelines. The UNMCCC is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center within a 500-mile radius and provides cancer care and conducts cancer research across New Mexico. The position is based at the Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is a regular, full-time, benefits-eligible staff position. Remote work is not available.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
- Additional health screenings may be required depending on the nature of the research, as determined by Employee Occupational Health Services.
- Applicants must provide names of three professional references that the hiring official can contact.
- Finalists should be prepared to provide official educational transcripts if selected for hire.
