This position will support multiple retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) research projects.

Requirements

  • Completion of an Associate's degree.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant research experience.
  • Can easily use computing software and web based applications (e.g., Microsoft Office products and internet browsers).

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of the DOCR North Carolina state approved Clinical Research Apprenticeship program may substitute for one year of required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data collection and data entry for ROP research projects.
  • Manage study databases for ROP research projects.
  • Support and perform data analysis for ROP research projects with the support of a statistician.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of pediatric ophthalmologists, retina specialists, neonatologists, ophthalmic imagers, and statisticians in support of research studies on ROP.
  • Participate in weekly lab meetings with the larger ROP research team.
  • Prepare, summarize and present study findings at research lab meetings.
  • Prepare abstracts and presentations for scientific meetings.
  • Prepare manuscripts for publication.
