About The Position

Under general supervision of the Department Supervisor, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, responsible for the operation of Project, including recruitment, implementation programs, processes, and outcome evaluation of the project. Liaison with national cooperative working group as required. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and master’s degree required.
  • Knowledge of research grants administration and current reporting requirements.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Experience with at-risk populations and community based programs is essential.
  • Provides direct supervision for up to 10 full-time equivalent personnel assigned to the project.

Responsibilities

  • Continually assesses grant activity to assure compliance with grant requirements, assures all required reporting is completed on time.
  • Assists the Principal Investigator and co-investigator in the Department with protocols, intervention plans, and recruitment.
  • Hires, trains, schedules, conducts periodic performance evaluations, provides guidance and counsels to assistants and other designated staff to endure high quality recruitment and related data gathering.
  • Organizes and implements the clinical protocol of the project, provides direct services, s outlined by the grant criteria.
  • Travels, to evaluate sites, or for other grant-related reasons, as required.
  • Monitors monthly expense reports for accuracy and conformance to budget. Addresses variances as required to meet the budget.
  • Coordinates sub-contracts with affiliated hospitals and universities as may be necessary.
  • Maintains quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control in accordance with established hospital department policies and objectives.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Fosters patient and family centered care in accordance with the Brown University Health mission, vision and values and the philosophy of nursing at The Miriam Hospital.
