About The Position
The Research Project Coordinator supports the overall development of research project(s), assisting with project design, management, and implementation. This role promotes the project and serves as a liaison between the project and contacts internal and external to the University. Responsibilities may include supervising students, providing general office assistance, creating promotional materials, and assisting in the development of other potential projects. Specifically, this position will support the Alabama Mobile Crisis Response Collaborative (A-MCRC) grant, which aims to expand and enhance mobile crisis services across the state. The coordinator will help to coordinate and complete all project-related activities, including coordinating a variety of activities, materials, and information to support the clinical implementation of best-practice-level adult, youth and child mobile crisis programs. The role supports the development and coordination of community development programs, training programs, program evaluation, and provides technical assistance to both internal and external community partners. Additionally, the coordinator will support grant-related activities of A-MCRC to coordinate all training and outreach-related activities, assist in communicating with local and state boards, and maintain and coordinate the project’s social media efforts alongside the VitAL Communications Specialist.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Some experience coordinating projects.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire.
- Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies.
- Strong organizational skills as evidenced by work history.
- Able to work independently using sound judgment and solid decision-making skills to solve problems and to work through barriers that may impact progress.
- Experience with basic office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to conduct educational sessions for providers and/or community as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in social work, counseling, nursing, health education, health promotion or a related field and three (3) years experience.
- Master's degree in a health-related field, including applied behavioral sciences, psychology, or social work and direct experience in a behavioral health program.
