About The Position

The Research Project Coordinator supports the overall development of research project(s), assisting with project design, management, and implementation. This role promotes the project and serves as a liaison between the project and contacts internal and external to the University. The coordinator may supervise students, provide general office assistance, create promotional materials, and assist in the development of other potential projects. Specifically, this position will help coordinate and complete all project-related activities for the Alabama Mobile Crisis Response Collaborative (A-MCRC) grant. This involves coordinating a variety of activities, materials, and information to support the clinical implementation of best-practice-level adult, youth, and child mobile crisis programs. The Project Coordinator will serve as the liaison between the A-MCRC team and community partners in the coordination, evaluation, and implementation of clinical services. They will also coordinate administrative and implementation services for existing and newly developed programs offered through A-MCRC and serve as the A-MCRC Liaison with program constituent groups, conducting presentations with appropriate audiences. This position requires a high degree of communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and a foundation of clinical behavioral health and crisis care service knowledge. The incumbent is charged with coordinating and implementing all clinical services and quality improvement required for the successful administration of programs with the guidance of the A-MCRC Program Manager, and assisting in the creation and training of A-MCRC fidelity standards developed throughout the project's duration.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher and some experience coordinating projects.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire.
Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies.
Strong organizational skills as evidenced by work history.
Able to work independently using sound judgment and solid decision-making skills to solve problems and to work through barriers that may impact progress.
Applied research expertise.
Experience with basic office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Able to conduct educational sessions for providers and/or community as needed.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in social work, counseling, nursing, health education, health promotion or a related field and three (3) years experience.
Master's degree in a health-related field, including applied behavioral sciences, psychology, or social work and direct experience in a behavioral health program.
