About The Position

The Research Programs Coordinator/Assistant to the Associate Dean for Research provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and programmatic support to the Associate Dean for Research and the Program Director for Craniofacial Biology and her Research Lab. This role serves as a key liaison among faculty, researchers, trainees, staff, university leadership, and external partners, playing a critical role in ensuring the effective coordination and execution of research, educational, and departmental initiatives. The incumbent manages a broad range of administrative and programmatic activities, facilitates communication across diverse stakeholders, coordinates projects and events, and supports strategic priorities that advance the research and academic missions of the UCSF School of Dentistry. This position is shared between two areas of responsibility, with approximately 40% effort dedicated to the Program in Craniofacial Biology, 20% to Selleri’s Research Lab, and 40% effort dedicated to supporting the Associate Dean for Research. The incumbent must effectively balance competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and work independently while maintaining strong collaborative relationships across the School of Dentistry and the broader UCSF community.
