The Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society (LFIDS) at the University of Notre Dame is an Institute that aims to enable a positive impact on society and individual lives through innovative data-driven methods and applications. The role of Research Program Manager (RPM) is a highly collaborative role in an Institute that serves as an intellectual hub for Notre Dame’s students, faculty, and research scientists working with leaders from industry, government, and academia to advance data innovations and to help transform society and individual lives. The Research Program Manager for LFIDS (The Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society) is a vital role that not only supports faculty-driven and generated proposals and grant funded research projects, they also lead all Institute programming for PhD student professional and interdisciplinary research development, including research symposia, workshops, and mentorship initiatives. This role requires a high level of independent judgment and knowledge of the Institute’s practices for concurrently managing several complex research projects, including the implementation of grant-funded project budgets, the coordination of research teams, the supervision of student research assistants, and the design and execution of research programming for PhD students. The role also requires the candidate to collaborate with a large number of internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Institute. The ideal candidate is able to work on tasks/projects with limited supervision.
