About The Position

The incumbent's primary responsibilities involve coordinating two ongoing research projects within a large academic and research Division within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The incumbent will lead participant recruitment and scheduling, timely regulatory tasks, data management and analysis for two NIH-funded studies focused on promoting mental health among trauma-exposed children, adolescents, and families. They will also engage in intervention delivery for the ongoing NICHD-funded study of parenting enhancement. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be needed to accommodate participant schedules.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and one year of relevant program experience.
  • Strong communication skills and capacity to learn effective strategies to build rapport with trauma-exposed families
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and capacity to learn other specific software, including NVivo and REDcap
  • Ability to analyze research data for discrepancies
  • Strong attention to detail and overall organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data coordination of a project adapting and testing an efficient, five-session treatment for posttraumatic stress for adolescents, including but not limited to participant recruitment, data entry, organization, archiving, and storage.
  • Assist with data coordination of a project assessing implementation of a brief parenting program, including but not limited to data entry, chart review, organization, and storage.
  • Contact, schedule, and deliver the brief parenting program to research participants. Participate in training and ongoing supervision on the brief parenting program.
  • Contact, schedule, and manage participant study visits.
  • Conduct qualitative interviews and subsequent qualitative coding.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to disseminate research findings to both scientific audiences (e.g., poster and manuscript development) and community settings (e.g., social media posts) and to assure efficiency and accuracy of work products.
  • Participate in team meetings, events, and trainings as directed and any other related duties as assigned.
