The position supports research programs by simulating field conditions, conducting test operations, and performing configuration changes, including optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Responsibilities also include sample analysis such as filtration, mass balance, fluid partitioning, and fluid properties (density, pH, UV/Vis).

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. science degree (geochemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields) with emphasis on analytical separation.
  • Hands-on experience with high pressure, high temperature fluid flow systems such as gas lift, hydrocarbon recirculation loop, fluid restoration, fluid reactors, high pressure rheology and including analyses, data processing and instrument maintenance.
  • Recognize process upsets and trouble shoot solutions to maintain unit stability.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow proper lab procedures and uphold good housekeeping practices in a lab environment.
  • Ability to use motorized equipment (pallet jack), mechanical lifting devices (crane or forklift) and hand tools.
  • Willingness to be involved in research that is highly exploratory in nature and may support programs within division and affiliate organizations.
