About The Position

Mass General Brigham relies on a wide range of professionals, including doctors, nurses, business people, tech experts, researchers, and systems analysts to advance our mission. As a not-for-profit, we support patient care, research, teaching, and community service, striving to provide exceptional care. We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham. Responsible for coordinating large-scale and/or multiple project activities, managing documentation, and facilitating communication among team members to ensure the successful execution of projects. Tracks and ensures that the schedule, budget, and details of project tasks are well-organized. Organizes reporting, plans meetings, and provides updates to project managers. Provides guidance and support to other team members. Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a highly organized Research Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day research operations of investigators in the Center for Integrated Solutions for Infectious Disease. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys making research run well: coordinating people and processes, keeping operational details organized, solving practical problems, and ensuring that follow-up does not get lost. Working closely with faculty, senior scientists, and an internal operations leader, the coordinator will manage multiple recurring and project-based activities across laboratory operations. The role combines project coordination, documentation, purchasing and inventory support, equipment and vendor follow-up, onboarding, and communication across scientific and institutional teams. This role may be especially appealing to someone who has enjoyed hands-on research but is increasingly drawn to the work that makes science possible: anticipating needs, organizing complex details, solving operational problems, keeping people aligned, and building reliable systems around the research. The strongest candidates will combine scientific curiosity with a service-oriented mindset, careful follow-through, and a willingness to take ownership of the practical details that help a laboratory and its projects run effectively.
