About The Position

You will be the Research Librarian for the Library Services team. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑quality reference and research support to our stakeholders. As the Research Librarian you will be responsible for providing reference and research information services using a variety of resources, including online databases, periodicals, corporate materials, and government documents. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Analyze, organize, package, and present research results to meet user needs. Promote library services through presentations, training sessions, and marketing campaigns. Assist with circulation, collection development, and ongoing maintenance activities. Perform work in a professional office environment, initially onsite before transitioning to part‑time telecommute (<50%).

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Library Science or Information Science or related discipline.
  • Knowledge and experience with these typical library services: customer interaction, reference assistance, resource selection, material acquisition, circulation of resources, cataloging of materials, collection maintenance, and document delivery.
  • Ability to communicate and interact professionally with employees at various organizational levels and professions.
  • Experience working in a library.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
