Does this position require Patient Care? No The Laboratory Research Technician I serves to assist a Principal Investigator in basic science research activities in the area of molecular genetics of brain cancer. Primary responsibilities are to assist in experiments for research projects under supervision of the project head and the PI of the laboratory. This includes setting up and conducting a variety of laboratory tests and experiments by applying established methods, procedures, and techniques in a neurosurgery tumor research laboratory.
