About The Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position for UND students only. The role involves assisting in a research lab with tasks such as nucleic acid extraction, PCR, DNA sequencing, microscopy, and potentially preparing scientific illustrations.
Requirements
- Basic background in biology (at least Introductory Biology classes)
- Detail-oriented
- Motivated to learn new research skills
- Ability to work independently upon initial training
- Major in Biology
- Availability to work 8-10 hours/week
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
- Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and complete required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
- This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with DNA work/PCR is preferable but not required.
- Art skills are a plus, to prepare scientific illustrations.
