The Microsoft Applied Sciences Group incubates disruptive technologies for Microsoft’s next-generation hardware products. The group works on projects that shape how computers and other devices perceive users and their environments, collaborating with research and product teams to bring new experiences to market. Many projects are powered by machine learning and span the process from ideation through shipping. As a Research Intern, you will design and lead implementation of state-of-the-art language and multimodal models to transform the Windows experience. You will collaborate with experts across the organization and help develop ideas into products with real-world impact. This is a hands-on, 12-week internship. Interns are paired with mentors, collaborate with other interns and researchers, present findings, and participate in the research community. Internships are offered year-round, though they typically begin in the summer.
