About The Position
The Research Intern performs routine laboratory research and development tasks. Works with a multidisciplinary team. Under direct supervision, performs a variety of basic and general laboratory research tasks as determined by the field and scope of the research project.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Completion of at least one Biology or equivalent course
- Communication skills: Verbal and Written
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment and manage competing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Works primarily with R&D Research team providing peripheral help with research efforts.
- Assist in sample preparation
- Assist in simple experimental planning and execution.
- Recognize and escalate equipment and instrument malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Perform other tasks as specified by the manager/director
