Works under general supervision to assist, receive training, and acquire working knowledge of each department's areas of responsibilities. The research intern will work with current faculty, other graduate and undergraduate students, post-doctoral fellows and visiting scientists allowing the research expectations of the department to be met. The intern will assist to complete extramurally funded projects (from the NIH and AHA) and allow the generation of data for future applications seeking additional funding. Specific duties will depend upon the goals of the training program and the intern's qualifications. Duties may include, but are not limited to: analyzing data, performing laboratory experiments, and/or auditing research charts and entering data. This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
