About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for someone to join our Business Development Sales team supporting DoD initiatives as a Research Intern in multiple locations. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer. US Citizenship is required.

Requirements

Current student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Experience in programming and script files
Practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems
Working knowledge of emulators and logic analyzers
Ability to use MS Windows and serial port terminal emulation software
Practical knowledge of SEL protective relays & automation controllers
Ability to use Microsoft Visio
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to effectively communicate and present information to customers
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Ability to communicate and present to customers
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to SEL staff & customers.
Develop and maintain knowledge in SEL processes and technologies.
Perform testing on new and existing technology.
Document and communicate test results.
