About The Position

Edmentum is seeking a Research Impact Director, a senior individual contributor role focused on transforming the company's research into real-world influence. This role involves shaping narratives for policymakers, educators, and product innovators to elevate Edmentum's national education presence and drive meaningful change. The position is based in a Remote First organization committed to excellence and innovation.

Requirements

  • Hold an advanced degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., or equivalent experience) in education, social sciences, public policy, or a related field.
  • 10 or more years of experience in research, policy, or impact roles within education or an adjacent sector.
  • Recognized externally as a thought leader, with a publication record, speaking history, and/or named role in academic or policy bodies.
  • Proven ability to influence executives and drive cross-functional alignment without formal authority.
  • Translate complex research into actionable insights for policymakers, educators, product teams, and the public.
  • Deeply familiar with efficacy research, psychometrics, and education policy.
  • Strategic thinker who aligns research with enterprise goals and shapes long-term direction.
  • Exceptional communicator skilled in writing, speaking, and data storytelling.
  • Skilled in designing impact measurement frameworks for influence-based work.
  • Collaborative leader who builds influence through partnership and expertise.
  • Highly organized and skilled in managing complex enterprise initiatives independently.
  • Willing to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the translation of research into powerful, actionable insights that shape education policy, inform product design, and elevate Edmentum's brand as a thought leader.
  • Forge and nurture high-impact partnerships across internal teams and external academic, policy, and industry organizations to amplify our research footprint.
  • Architect and execute bold dissemination strategies that bring our research to life across portfolios, platforms, and audiences.
  • Design and own the enterprise impact measurement framework, defining KPIs that demonstrate the reach and influence of our work.
  • Represent Edmentum on national stages, sharing our research in academic journals, policy forums, and industry events.
  • Serve as senior advisor to executive leadership, helping shape the long-term research strategy and aligning impact initiatives with organizational goals.
