About The Position

Join the Office of Research at UniSC and play an important role in supporting the University's research funding success. Working closely with researchers and internal stakeholders, you will coordinate internal research funding initiatives while also supporting competitive external funding applications that strengthen UniSC's research capability and impact. This varied role combines project coordination, research administration and stakeholder engagement. You will manage internal grant programs from planning through to reporting, provide guidance on funding opportunities and compliance requirements, and contribute to high-quality funding submissions that help researchers translate innovative ideas into impactful research outcomes.

Requirements

  • Completion of a relevant degree combined with experience in research administration within a university, research institute or government organisation, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training.
  • Excellent written, verbal and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with researchers and a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret funding guidelines, apply sound judgement and identify practical solutions.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, responsive client service while working effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • High level of digital literacy, with experience using business systems to manage information, reporting and administrative processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience coordinating internal research funding programs and/or supporting competitive external research funding applications within a university or government environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver UniSC's internal research funding initiatives, providing end-to-end project management and administrative support throughout the funding lifecycle.
  • Support researchers to identify, prepare and submit competitive external funding applications, ensuring quality assurance, compliance and adherence to funding requirements.
  • Build collaborative relationships across the University, maintain research funding information and reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement of research funding processes.
