About The Position

The Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota is seeking a highly qualified postdoctoral Research Fellow for the CT Clinical Innovation Center. This center is a worldwide leader in CT imaging, focusing on developing novel, high-impact CT technologies and translating them into clinical practice, such as photon counting detector (PCD) CT and artificial intelligence (AI). The Research Fellow will conduct research on musculoskeletal applications of PCD CT, with an emphasis on using AI to enhance image quality, perform multi-energy analysis, and conduct multi-modal deep learning. Collaboration opportunities exist with radiologists, medical physicists, and AI scientists. The position also offers potential for exploring clinical medical physics aspects, including shadowing experiences. A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position designed for research training and education under a principal investigator, with the expectation that individuals will demonstrate research potential and competitiveness for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for certain sponsored visa types.

Requirements

  • Postdoctoral qualification.
  • Demonstrated potential for research as evidenced by training and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Ability to become competitive for national research grants.
  • Proof of English proficiency (required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic).
