Following a background check and CCATS Executive Committee approval, the fellow may have patient or research-subject contact directly related and incidental to the original research program. Proof of English proficiency is required for certain Mayo Clinic-sponsored J-1 categories, including Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns.
